The tee that sticks out to me most in this line is the “Sharky” tee. This is one of the few designs that I have seen the use of shading and gradients in a Johnny Cupcakes design instead of the traditional style of solid colors and bold thick lines, which actually works very well on this tee and design.

Aside from the new tees Johnny as released a brand new Grey on Grey Crossbones New Era hat for $59.99. The hat is a online only product with a very limited run of only 150 made!

2K Sports made good on their $1 million “Perfect Game Challenge” promotion for MLB 2K10. The winner? A 24-year old Alabaman man named Wade McGilberry.

Regan Smith Clarke is a brand new clothing line based out of Boston, Ma that has really grabbed my attention. From their attention to detail to the quality of their products and prints these guys have really knocked it of the park. So your probably wondering why exactly I am comparing this upstart with the legendary JC, well let me break it down.

-Boston!
First off both from Boston, Ma, yes this doesn’t mean much but hey it is what it is!

-EXTRAS!!!
One of the things that really impressed me when I received shirts from Regan Smith Clarke was the details and extras. From the over-sized hangtags that are custom to each shirt to extra buttons and die cut stickers, these guys definitely did not cut any corners when it comes to goodies.

-Artist/Style
While you wont be seeing and cupcakes and crossbones on a RSC tee, you will be seeing plenty of imagery that lends itself to the cartoonish, friendly, fresh and approachable JC style. In fact the entire RSC line was designed by Danny Jones A.K.A Yasly, whom just recently designed the first ever Johnny Cupcakes Artist Series.

While I have obviously made a few huge conclusions comparing RSC to JC, especially with only four shirts under Regan Smith Clarke’s belt, I just see a lot of promise and potential with these guys. I also want to state that I do not think that RSC is trying to be the next JC, I can simply just see a lot of similarities in their approach and execution.

Last but not least, the tees run a solid $20 which is a great starting point for a tee company trying to make a name for themselves and build a following in the process. They also have some very cool prints of all their designs. The prints are on 100 lb Silk Cove and run $10 a piece or all 4 for only $15! Did I mention free shipping on order over $12!

The designs are both very abstract and feature the artist’s signature on the back. I gotta say, I kinda dig the new designs. They are a bit different than the usual Johnny cupcakes, and give alot of variety. They almost feel like a clothing line within a clothing line. At only a few dollars more than the usual Johnny cupcakes price tag, I wouldn’t mind paying the extra couple bucks. It will be interesting to see what other artists are part of the artist series. Defientely something to keep an eye on!

Both shirts are priced at a decent $39.99 and are currently available online and in stores!

I think that this is definitely something to keep an eye on as it sounds like new artists will be featured in the future!

The release basically picks up where their previous lines have left off, with cartoony illustrations and very visually appealing designs. If you are a fan of Linty Fresh or Johnny Cupcakes you will feel right at home with Monsieur Eureka!

The tees are a bit pricey at $26.99, but not completely unreasonable. The only problem I have with Monsieur Eureka! is that I can’t read french, so navigating the site and reading their blog proves to be a bit difficult.

Overall I think these are 3 very solid tees and could definitely see rocking them proud. Monsieur Eureka just seems to have the “X” factor, that separates their tees from the typical cartoon illustration based tees.
