There are a couple things we have come to expect from Kyle Crawford and Electric Zombie over the years, one is he usually does not disappoint with his releases. This is of course true with his latest release comprised of new tees, hoods and prints.

Typically the summer EZ line is heavily illustrated and comprised of brighter colors, with the winter line feeling much more muted and sticking more to one color designs and badge type artwork. What I am digging most about this line is it looks a bit like Electric Zombie’s summer and winter releases. You have to love when you get the best of both worlds.

There are a ton of great selections in this line but the piece that sticks out to me most is the “Haunt White” design featuring some fantastic illustration and some awesome glow in the dark flavor. This design is also available as 18 x 24 glow in the dark print!

As to be expected there are some great horror movie based tees such as Child’s Play based “Good Guy” and of course the Nightmare on Elm Street inspired “Mastermind” design.

Also as to be expected are EXTREMELY fair prices with tees running only $18-$20, prints at $10-$20 and hoods at $40-$45.

What I also love about Akumu Ink, is that for every design they put out they give you a bunch of options when it comes to the color of the tee and style of the tee. For only $21.99 these tees are a very solid pick up.

If you are looking for some insane illustration, loud colors, and over the top designs and prints you will not be disappointed here.  The shirts will set you back £20.00 which is roughly $32, this is a bit steep if you live in the US, but a great price if you live in the UK.  Shirts are all printed on American Apparel and come complete with a very creative and cool custom tee tag.

For me this new line has really pushed the “Akumu look” beyond what I could have expected. These designs just feel a little more complete and thought out. I love the the more textured and detailed look to their designs this time around. Akumu Ink has really started to trade out the very clean and solid designs for a little more of a rough and realistic feel, which has done wonders for them. If this is any indication to where this brand is headed I am more than excited for their future.

The shirts themselves are priced at $21.99 for crew necks and $23.99 for V-necks printed on American Apparel. You really cant beat that price and I think it’s a great move on Akumu’s part to keep their prices low while they continue to build their brand.

First thing that was pretty obvious is that this line is extremely different than past lines. Gone are the bright colored tees and illustrations. In their place you will find mostly black shirts with more muted down color palettes. To me this is a more “grown up” look, I guess that is if you could make zombies, monsters and gore more grown up looking!

Let’s talk jeans for a second. This marks a HUGE step in any indie clothing lines existence and there are very few companies that actually travel down this road. I must say I was extremely impressed with the way jeans look on the site. The attention to detail and customization is top notch. Custom metal Electric Zombie Rivets, Black Metal “EZ” button, Custom Angled Pockets front and back, Extra slit pocket on back left pocket, “Kill Or Be Killed” Strip on front right side pocket and an Electric Zombie Back Label. These jeans have been made to impress. The fit of the jeans is listed as standard slim but not skinny and retail for only $45.

Im absolutely loving all the pieces in the t shirt line. Even though Kyle has decided to move away from bright colors there are still a fair amount of traditionally illustrated tees to choose from. My favorite tees in the line would have to be the Badge and Shield shirts. To me these shirts are something that a more grown up audience can rock and rock often. Both designs are one color but still show off the EZ style without being overly obnoxious. Here is the best part all tees in the line range from $16 to $18!

I also must say the posters are a great touch. 18″ x 24″ screen prints of some of the best artwork the line has to offer. Posters sell for $25.

Overall, this is definitely Kyle and Electric Zombie’s biggest, baddest and most professional line to date. Make sure to head over to buyelectriczombie.com to view the entire line as well as pick up some sweet new threads.

The tees run $27.95 to $24.95 while the sweatshirt will set you back $35.95 and the hoodie at $42.95. That being said im not a huge fan of the $42.95 price tag on the hoodie. I did get a chance to see it in person and while I really dug the foil print, the hoodie seemed a bit light for the price.

All I know is if the guys at Fright Rags are this excited about the line, we can definitely expect nothing short of pure awesomeness. The shirt officially drops November 27th on Fright-Rags.com and from the sound of it, the tee will be extremely limited!
