I should have gotten a post on this tee before now, but here it is! A couple weeks back Cherry Sauce released two brand new tees, Revenge of the Cupcakes and Zombie Kingdom. Both tees sold out within a matter of days, but the good news is they are back in stock!

Whenever a company tries their hand at creating a Mario Bros inspired tee, I usually cringe, because you are dealing with one of mine and many others favorite childhood memories. When your dealing with emotions like these it better be one kick ass Mario design!

Luckily the “Zombie Kingdom” tee is an absolutely awesome twist and take on Super Mario Bros. The illustrations is pure win and really gives the Mario brand a new look that I have yet to come across!

Both tees are printed on American Apparel and are $25

Pick them up while they last at: http://cherrysauce.storenvy.com

I have been on the search for some time now for a really good die-cut sticker maker, and now I can safely say that search has ended! Enter Stickermule.com, these guys do it all from custom stickers, die cut stickers and even decals. I believe I actually stumbled across these guys on Twitter @stickermule when looking around for printers and Anthony (owner of Stickermule) hit me up. I took a look at his site and was impressed with what they had to offer, but let’s face it the proof is in the pudding.

After talking to Anthony for a bit, he helped find what I needed and I placed my order. About ten days later 1000 beautiful Pong Deck stickers arrived at my door! The stickers were neatly divided into 100 count stacks that were both rubber-banded and shrink wrapped.

Upon cracking open a fresh pack of stickers, I immediately could see they did a phenomenal job with the die cut. The edge perfectly mirrored the sticker design and really enhanced the look of the sticker. The stickers themselves were nicely thick and felt extremely quality!

As an added bonus, Anthony printed me off two iPad decals that came out incredible. The size of the decal fit perfect. Looks like they are using a 3M product for the decals, that stick well to the iPad but do not leave any major residue when removed.

All in all I really couldn’t have been happier with these guys. If your in the market for some stickers definitely check out their site! www.stickermule.com

PS if you want a few of these stickers for free sign up for the newsletter at: www.pongdeck.com

Hranica, DePoyster, and company are back with The Devil Wears Prada‘s first actual extended play release (despite multiple full-length albums), Zombie, due out August 24th from Ferret Music. And in true TDWP style, this EP does not disappoint.

The five tracks from the release feature some of the band’s most relentless and intimidating music they’ve ever released. But not only is this the fastest set of songs I’ve heard, but they’re also the most unique songs thus far, because they’re not typical to what you’d hear from the Ohio group. The Zombie EP is much more coarse, as it’s not so smooth-flowing as many of their previous songs tend to be, with a lot less clean vocals from Jeremy, and higher-pitched screaming from Mike — I mean real higher-pitched. You’ll also notice certain songs include added background clips, such as shotgun shells hitting the ground, news reports, chainsaws, and frightened people. After all, it is a Zombie theme.

Hell, they even have song titles relating to the song.

Overall, it’s heavier, it’s high-octane, and it’s beautiful. Perhaps it’s giving some insight as to what’s brewing from the group.

Rating: 4½ out 5 Stars

The first Halloween inspired designs that I have seen of the season come to us from Seventh.Ink. These guys set the bar for my expectations pretty high after last year’s amazing “Night of the Living Bread” tee, but from these teasers this year’s offering is looking pretty solid!

These tees drop Monday September 6th and will be available and will be in limited quantities!

Check them out at: www.furyshirts.com

Just wanted to quickly apologize for the recent lack of Iamthetrend.com posts here lately! Life has been absolutely insane as of late. Figured I’d give you a quick breakdown as to what I have been up to!

As some of you may know I am in the midst of launching my first company called I Will Pong You! While as exciting as this is, it has recently gobbled up a bunch of my time, but I can safely say our products have all been ordered as of today and things are setteling back down on that end! If your interested in seeing what the company is all about check out www.pongdeck.com and our Facebook page www.facebook.com/pongdeck.
Without giving away a lot of details and spoiling the surprise I will simply say if you play and enjoy beer pong you are going to enjoy this product!

Secondly I was on a small family vacation down to the very hot Oklahoma! Was the first time that my wife and I were able to go visit her family since they moved there. We had an absolute blast riding jetskis, drinking beers and relaxing! Here are some pretty sweet pics that I took with my iPhone 4 using the Hipstmatic App, which I must say is a must purchase at $2.99.

Last but not least I moved!!! After six years of living in my current house, we packed our boxes and bags and headed out to our new place! I do have a bit of free advice when it comes to moving. Under absolutely no circumstance go out drinking with night before with all your buddies that are supposed to help you move! Moving is rough enough, but add being hungover and it’s an absolute nightmare! With that being said the new diggs is looking really solid, here are a couple pics of the new office setup!

Well it’s back to writing some actual articles for the site! I appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding, hopefully there are no hard feelings I have a bunch of articles in the works as well as Zach from Blue Tide Productions is currently working on putting in a brand new slider for our featured articles. I also have another episode of Iamthetrend TV that should be up this week, which gives you an inside look at screen printing and Storenvy!

The release contains 3 new designs which appear on both tanks and tees designed by Craig Robson, PitchGrim and Gabriel Gozzer, all of which have done a fantastic job of bringing the Vicious History vision and brand to life.

While I like every piece in the line, Gabriel Gozzer’s “Wild Wolves” is just pure win. From the illustration style to the way the colors absolutely pop on both heather grey and coffee tri-blend American Apparel this tee is a winner.

Kill Brand is a line that I have continuously pointed out as lacking a brand vision. Over the past two years we have seen some pretty drastic changes in the brand, as well as some killer looking tees and some horrible looking tees. With the release of their new Fall line Kill Brand has made their most drastic change to date.

Completely absent from this line are over the top illustrations and bright prints, and in place are more muted, simple and clean designs. This has been the trend for a couple months now with brands such as Glamour Kills and Stheart leading the switch from bright colors and illustration to more muted colors, clean lines and photography based tees and imagine we are going to be seeing a lot more of this to come in the future.

Honestly this is most I have liked a Kill Brand release in a long time. Aside from the more clean and simple look, I am loving the addition of other items such as jeans, henley tees, windbreakers, beanies and even socks! With this move Kill Brand is really transforming from a tee shirt brand into a clothing company.

Standout pieces in this line include Raglan Tropics and Mountain Man Slate hoodie. Both are great examples of Kill Brand’s new approach and look.

Check out the full line at: www.killbrand.com and use coupon code: RAGEALLNIGHT for 20% off your order!

Social Violence is a clothing line that plays right into the Warped Tour crowd’s bread basket. Bright colors, big illustrations, and word based tees. Sound familiar? Well it is, this has been pretty much the go to move for clothing lines for the past two years but yet the kids are still eating it up!

While this look has been done hundreds of times and hundreds of ways SoVio is doing a good job at portraying and running a professional looking brand. You can tell that they do care about what they are offering. Their site is done very professionally, photos look great and tees are solid. I’m just not absolutely sure if that is enough to make them stick out among the masses.

Overall a solid first offering but not too much that is going to separate SoVio from the rest of the competition. Check out the full line at: www.socialviolence.com

I know this is a couple weeks old now, but I had to put up a post about the new “Swords” tee from AOK. This is actually a reworking of the AOK purple original Sword tee. This time around “Swords” has been printed on a black v-neck which works much better to me than the purple tee it was previously released on

The tee is $20 and can be picked up at: http://shop.alrightok.com
