Typically when I think coloring books, I am whisked back to Saturday morning cartoons, toys and thoughts of a time when things were much simpler. These thoughts are pretty much the exact opposite of this 48 page coloring book release centered around police brutality!

Well it looks like artist Joe Heaps Nelson wanted to shed some light on the recent wave of excessive force used by the police in U.S. cities. Joe teamed up with 46 other artists including some heavy hitters including Shepard Fairey,

Portugal based artist Pedro Marques AKA Ayse Designz has just relaunched a very impressive new website. His new portfolio/website does a fantastic job showcasing his work, keeping you updated on blog posts and also includes a storefront to purchase poster prints directly from Ayse.

Overall the site looks fantastic and is easily navigable. Aside from the site Ayse has put together a very cool promo video that gives you an inside look into Pedro, his amazing studio, and the beautiful country of Portugal. Warning after watching this video you are probably going to want to upgrade your current office!

Threadbird have just unveiled their new project titled Foalio. The long and short of it is Foalio.com provides a place for artists to find jobs and jobs to find artists!

The site is broken down into 3 categories, Projects, Artists and Jobs. Projects basically allows you to see various artists new projects and postings. The site allows you to “prop” and/or comment on the project to show the artist some extra love.

The Artist section as you guessed it shows the portfolios of artists that have signed up for the site. Artists can be sorted by most liked, most recent, what’s hot or by several categories. You can also follow an artist to get updates each time they make a post to the site. Each artists profile gives you the artists resume, portfolio and a list of the connections they have made on the site.

Lastly is the jobs section where companies can list specs on jobs that they are looking to have completed. These listings provide details on the job and sometimes what the company is offering in terms of pay. Although there are only a few posts right now in job section, I can definitely see this growing to the go to place for t-shirt companies searching for artists to team up with for their new clothing designs.

Overall the site is laid of very cleanly and is very aesthetically pleasing. Although there other sites out there that are similar such as Dribbble.com and Behance, I can really see where Foalio.com can become another great source for artists and companies to collaborate.

UK street artist RUGMAN creator of Rum Knuckles Clothing has produced two limited edition screen prints of his illustrated art work featured arguably the two of the most iconic women of our time, Marilyn Monroe and Snow White.

Each print is extremely limited edition, with the Snow White print coming in Aqua, Pink or Lemon and is screen printed by hand and frankly is bad ass.

Having proper mockups of your tees is a must in several stages of the design and printing process. Having good quality mocks before you print allows you to see how your tees will look when completed and can serve as an image for pre-orders before your tees are actually printed.

Often times I have seen good quality mocks that in fact look better than some of the photography that clothing lines use!
