Kill Brand Completely Changes Gears With New Fall Line

Posted August 17th by Adam Hendle in All, Clothing

Kill Brand is a line that I have continuously pointed out as lacking a brand vision. Over the past two years we have seen some pretty drastic changes in the brand, as well as some killer looking tees and some horrible looking tees. With the release of their new Fall line Kill Brand has made their most drastic change to date.

Completely absent from this line are over the top illustrations and bright prints, and in place are more muted, simple and clean designs. This has been the trend for a couple months now with brands such as Glamour Kills and Stheart leading the switch from bright colors and illustration to more muted colors, clean lines and photography based tees and imagine we are going to be seeing a lot more of this to come in the future.

Honestly this is most I have liked a Kill Brand release in a long time. Aside from the more clean and simple look, I am loving the addition of other items such as jeans, henley tees, windbreakers, beanies and even socks! With this move Kill Brand is really transforming from a tee shirt brand into a clothing company.

Standout pieces in this line include Raglan Tropics and Mountain Man Slate hoodie. Both are great examples of Kill Brand’s new approach and look.

There is still no consistency to this brand. There are muted designs but then you have “Shred All Day” and “Wolves of Death” then the ever tacky “Gym Tan Kill Brand”. C'mon Man!The muted stuff is just too lazy ie. Nautical Tee and Henley. It isn't anything clever or inspirational. Too basic if that's even possible.I like where they are going with the whole “mountain logo” so if they can stick to that maybe they'll make some waves.

Can completely agree with that. The wolves of death tee has been released before, not sure why its listed with the fall line. while this line is definitely not breaking any huge inspirational boundaries or reinventing the wheel, I still think this is the best stuff they have put out in sometime.
