Wow this tournament has been rocking! There have been so many close matchups and upsets, it’s incredible! Last round 4 of the matchups ended up being decided by only 1 vote! Every vote counts here people, so make sure to find your favorite indie clothing and vote for them!!!

Addressing The Dark Bunny Issue:

I have seen some people that were upset with the Dark Bunny Tees DQ. So here is why the DQ occurred and why we made our decision. First off the man behind setting up the Tee Madness Brackets, Zach, has been doing a completely phenomenal job keeping this contest running and monitoring votes. As many of you know the site went down a yesterday a few minutes after the noon deadline, at noon DBT’s was winning over Shirtfight by one vote and I actually had DBT written in as the winner.

After this had happened Zach went through all the votes to make sure nothing looked suspicious, he noticed that DBT had around 75 votes coming from similar IP addresses, basically a IP address with only 1 number being different. This immediately raised a red flag, especially because this IP address was not seen in the first voting period with the same consequences. The last thing that was looked at is that all the votes came within a 45 second time span, which also did not match up with anything we had seen prior. Zach informed me of said information and we made a decision that there were some illegitimate votes. This information was discussed right prior to Zach posting the brackets, and since we were already 6 hours behind we had to go with our gut instinct.

This competition is and was meant to be FUN and also encourage brand awareness and for the most part I really think we have nailed those goals. Unfortunately along the way sometimes decisions need to be made that might not make everyone happy. I do want to put it out there though that I am a big fan of Dark Bunny Tees and actually wrote an article about how awesome they were two weeks ago, which can be read here

I have also talked to Alex the owner of DBT and there seems to be no hard feelings, so again I do apologize for what has occurred and hope people will be understanding and supportive. If you want to directly support DBT and feel they were wronged I am sure buying a few tees from them would help ;)

Anyways the Sweet 16 is underway, hopefully with no further issues! If you would like to tell me how much of an A-Hole I am feel free to leave it in the comments.

    Totally wronged! – The 45 second bit gets me. 1 person voting 75 times whilst also altering IP addresses, all in 45 seconds? Simon Pegg, yes! – Superman er no! As I have explained to Adam, in the second round I used different contacts including tapping up friends who worked in offices – It makes more sense that 1 person sending out an email request to his work colleagues and in turn legitimately voting within 45 seconds seems more realistic.What can I do hey? Enjoy the rest of the contest.

    Did you not say in your own live feed, that sabotage is likely and you could not tell the difference? I could easily get a IP spoof program, and post lots of submissions against a particular designer, and would make it obvious that it's a batch submission by changing the IP address by 1.I've been reading the forums, and there was animosity against DBT so this isn't unlikely. Have you looked up the IP to see where it's located? Is it UK or US? there's my technical opinion…I hope enough research was done in the source of the vote
